Abeceder helps launch groundbreaking CSR initiative - 30-11-2007 | Abeceder has become a founder member of a groundbreaking initiative in the world of responsible business practice.
The CSR Consortium, which involves 18 professional services companes, will provide strategic and tactical expertise across all areas of responsible business practice.
Areas covered include CSR strategy, performance management, health and safety, environmental management, organisational change, community engagement and regeneration, customer service, HR performance, diversity, training and development, socially responsible recruitment and supply chain management.
Consortium founder Mervin Straughan said
“I asked Michael Millward to help create the consortium because of the scope of the employment related services that Abeceder offers, and the way in which the companies commitment to the CSR agenda has been integrated into the way it operates.
Abeceder is an advocate of; employee volunteering as an employee development tool rather than just a PR activity; and of the commercial benefits to companies of offering employment opportunities to people from the non traditional labour pool.”
