Abeceder managing director and vice chairman of the North Yorkshire branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development spoke at a branch event hosted by Castle- Employment Agency in Scarborough today about the growing trend to use coaching as an employee development tool.
Mr Millward who is also a volunteer ambassador and key stakeholder in the National Training Awards said that whilst everyone seems to be talking about coaching nowadays, it is not rocket science but it is an essential skill that every manager should have.
Coaching is nothing new, he explained it has been happening without anyone noticing for centuries it is just that we have now learnt that it is one of the best ways to motivate and develop all types of employees.
Using real world examples Mr Millward explained how to
