Michael Millward celebrates 29 years in HR - 17-08-2010 |
Abeceder managing director Michael Millward today celebrated 29 years working in human resources.
Starting as a trainee in the National Health Service back in 1981 his career has progressed through a number of different industries including, retail, distribution, manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services, IT, and internet.
He has worked in all sizes of businesses from multi- nationals to start-ups. He has also enjoyed experiencing HR in numerous parts of the world having worked throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australasia, North America and most recently Africa.
Mr Millward established Abeceder as a full service employee management company after completing a Masters degree in Human Resources Management.
Over tea and cakes with the Abeceder team at the Costa Coffee in the Abeceder office Mr Millward reflected that over 29 years he had seen an awful lot of change in profession. Back in 1981 any form of office based work was seen even by other office professions as just administration. Nowadays everyone has to be professional because if you are not moving forward and constantly developing you are moving backwards in relation to your peers.
I am really gratified that at this stage in my career I have a team of eminent professionals who are constantly delivering exceptional results for our clients.
