New Joiner Competency Development Programme Design and Management
Abeceder Associate Richard Pate has completed the design and implementation of a New Joiner Training Programme for the IT Service Centre of a major global consultancy in support of their client a major UK Government agency.
The IT Service Consultancy had won a contract to establish from a green field site an IT service centre that would require 350 staff.
Richard created a fast track induction programme for new joiners that delivered operational knowledge, IT applications ability, and customer service skills.
Additional suppliers of specialist training were sourced and assessed by Richard and appropriate contracts negotiated.
The project has been a complete success with employees being able to demonstrate an
- Understanding of the culture of both the client and their employer.
- Awareness of the key processes, applications and IT tools within three weeks of joining.
- Appreciation of the client service level agreements and how they contributed to achieving them.
The programme design has also been structured so that it can be delivered again by the client at the site it was originally designed for, and across its other operations.
